Nine-eye Tower

Bus leaves from East 3 rd Ring Road Lufthansa Center at 8:00am.

this level of hike is not easy ,you would better have some experiences ,this level will be a small challenge for you body,the altitude of this level is quite high about 1000 meters above sea level,you are not supposed to be fit and not afraid of height if you decide to climb it and no heart sickness.

Hike at a Glance:
we will drive about 2 hours to arrive the village named Xizhazi,this village is quite famous in Beijing because of the Jiankou Great Wall,this village been surrounded by the Great Wall,scenery is nice and very tranquil.we will drop off the van in front of the house of Lao Zhao ,this guide is very famous for his kindness to the photographers in old days. We will walk on a mountain trail to climb up the wall,the beginning part of the trail is nice,because a lot of people walk through it ,the end of this part of trail is quite steep ,will be from 400 meters to 700 meters.

After this part of trail we arrive the wall named Xidaqiang ,we will walk on the wall about 1 kilometer ,this wall is the intact wall without reconstruction and the condition of the wall is not bad ,above all good quality wall.the walk on the wall is nice ,it is almost flat.after this 1 kilometer wall we will off the wall to the trail again ,this part of trail is not as good as the beginning trail . After off the wall we will walk down hill ,we have to try our best to hold the trees at the side of the road otherwise it will be dangerous, and the trail here is quite narrow,left side is steep slope so we have to focus .this bit trail is not steep ,but after this bit of trail we start to uphill ,it will be from 700 meter to 1000 meter ,the trail here like snake zigzaging the mountain and there are some crossroad will confuse you so you have to stay with you group otherwise you will have trouble.this bit trail need about 2 hours to cover,quite difficult you like walk in Amazon because there are so many tall trees cover the trail.the end of trail we will walk on the walk again ,and this bit of wall look like piles of rubbles is the wall date back to 550 AD,quality is not very good and if your soles of your shoes are no thick enough your feet will be tortured. After this bit of rubble wall we will arrive the nine-eye tower the biggest and highest tower in this area.on this tower you will see the wall like a dragon snaking south side of the tower to northeast.after the rest on the nine-eye tower we will back the same way to the place we off the wall when we come, from here we will change another trail back to the village.this trail will be down hill almost all the time and condition is not very ideal ,there is a lot of bush,bug spray is necessary.this trail back to the village will take us 1 hour .it will take us 2 hours drive back city.
