An exciting opportunity exists within CnAventure for a Hiking Club Coordinator

The Position:

CnAdventure is looking for an enthusiastic person to manage and coordinate this summer’s Hiking Club events. The CnAdventure Hiking Club is based in Beijing and is focused on providing a wide diversity of weekend hiking and camping excursions in the outlying areas of Beijing. Responsibilities:

§ You do not have to guide tours! (but are encouraged to participate)
§ Develop rapport and foster a friendly, comfortable atmosphere with people inquiring about the Club
§ Answer e-mail questions posed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
§ Gather and write articles for the Club newsletter
§ Distribute club newsletter on a regular basis to Club e-mail list
§ Maintain a BLOG
§ Receive (and/or take) photos from event attendees, review all event photos, selecting which ones to post in the online photo album. Crop and enhance photos and upload photos to hikingclub.cnadventure.com
§ Monitor events to ensure procedures are being followed properly

Qualifications:

The Hiking Club Coordinator should:

• Be enthusiastic and passionate about outdoor activities.

• Have lived in Beijing and be familiar with the areas around Beijing

• Have strong organizational skills.

• Possess strong communication skills, especially as related to using the Internet

• Be a native English speaker or a person with excellent speaking and writing skills in English.

• Have strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Preferably have experience with coordinating volunteers

This position would ideally be suited for a volunteer with a passion for outdoor activities, and who enjoys hiking in the field.
